LOUISE BELCHER - ORIGINAL PAINTING BY AVA REID

Part of the MaccPow 2026 Commission Collection

Mischievous, magnetic, and not to be underestimated.

This original acrylic painting by Macclesfield artist Ava Reid captures Bob’s Burgers’ most gloriously chaotic character in a sunburst of yellow and green.

Louise Belcher commands the canvas with that unmistakable knowing smile beneath her iconic pink bunny ears, her bright green dress alive with Ava’s signature textured dots in lime and black. Flanking her on either side are stacked columns of olive and grey shapes rise up against the warm yellow background. This painting is playful, slightly surreal, and perfectly compelling!

Louise was a  character that Ava engaged with immediately. A small girl with enormous character, a sharp mind, and a grin that tells you she’s already three steps ahead. This painting has that energy.

About the Collection

This painting is one of nine original paintings created for MaccPow 2026, Macclesfield's comic art festival, celebrating the town's rich creative heritage. Ava was commissioned to depict females from the world of comics and comic art, characters whose vibrancy, cheekiness, or strength of spirit resonated with her. The result is a collection that is as personal as it is powerful.
